Digitec Business 2010 held in Yerevan |

The regular, already third Digitec business forum was held in Yerevan on June 9 and 10. Speaker at the opening ceremony was RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
Unicomp company is among the standing and active participants of Digitec and, according to its Founding Director, a long time member of the Information Technologies Development Support Council (ITDSC) under the RA Prime Minister, Armen Baldryan , the event provides IT companies and their customers with a good opportunity to get acquainted with each other and present new products and services. Mr Baldryan emphasized that there is an increase in the number of participants this year, including delegations from East European countries like Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Moldova, others as well as Netherlands which are participating for the first time.

President of the Republic of Armenia signed decree, according to which, (among others), Armen S. Baldryan, Founding Director of Unicomp, was awarded with Anania Shirakatsi Medal. The Medal is given for "prominent activity, inventions and discoveries in the field of economy, engineering, science and technics".

Today at the Synopsys Armenia office Co-Chairman of the Committee of the RA President Global IT Award Rich Goldman presented to the large gathering including mass media reps the Gold Medal of the Award and gave essential details on its forthcoming handing to the first ever winner of the GIT Award Dr Craig Barrett, retired CEO/Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Intel Corporation. Unicomp Founding CEO Armen Baldryan is a member of the Award Selection.

On March 15 a workshop aimed at finding proper places and the ways where the Intel Corporation and the Armenian Government as well as IT industry and related organizations and individuals could collaborate best was held in Yerevan. The workshop was organized jointly by the RA Ministries of Economy and Education and Science, Enterprises Incubator Foundation (EIF), the Unicomp CJSC, from one side, and Intel, from the other.

Intel Presents its New Processors in Almaty |

On 28 January 2010 the Intel Corporation inaugurated its new family of Intel® Core™ processors for the first time in the countries of Central Asia and South Caucasus for experts and mass media reps came to Almaty from the countries of the region including Armenia especially for the event. The processors are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the so-called 32-nanometer technology for notebooks, desktop PCs and networks supporting Intel® Turbo Boost and Intel® Hyper Threading, demonstrating the higher degree of integration and special, "smart" performance rate. The new models were launched at a presentation in Almaty by the Intel Regional Director in the countries of Central Asia and South Caucasus Dmitry Kissel, Intel technical experts Alexey Rogachkov and Alexandr Khomenko and Intel CIS director of press service Mikhail Rybakov.
